Round 4 Logo Design - Sine wave design Finals

    2 logos - one with black text, one with dark blue text; 3 sizes of each logo, plus a black/white version at the bottom. This design incorporates the changes requested - blue text, "The" middle position, INC as superscript, and slightly thinner sine wave. (The original wave was 1pt wide, 1st revision was 1.5 pts wide, and final is 1.25 pts wide on largest logo. Sine wave is smaller in the smaller logos, as it scales with the size of the logo.)

    Symbol: Box of suprises - representing the unknown, something to discover inside the box, something new and exciting, but not yet known
    Two different layouts presented, plus black & white version.

    Font: Dalliance (curly, scripty font, ball serifs)
    Symbol: Spiral is the symbol - mystery, Fibonacci number sequence

    • Logo3 - Textile1
      Font: Textile (clean, scripty italic font)
      Symbol: blue path/river, sunrise - a journey or voyage into new territory, an undiscovered land awaiting you; bright/upbeat colors suggesting promise, not a foreboding unknown

    • Logo3 - Textile2
      (Same font and symbols as above)
      Rays of sun are chunkier and shorter in this version; font is slightly smaller for "Discovery" to fit fully inside of sun; gradient is used on path to make it fade out

    • Logo3 - Lucida
      Font: Lucida Sans Italic and Lucida Handwriting Italic
      Symbol: Same as Textile2

      Font: Skia (sans-serif font, hints of old letter forms carved on walls (Greek possibly)
      Symbol: Starburst on "O": this can be interpreted numerous ways - star; cross-hatching to target something; crosshatching in viewfinder such as periscope - targeting, finding, marking

    • Logo4 - Skia2
      Font: Same font as above.
      Symbol: In this version, the "O" becomes a window - in the window is a set of rays over a solid blue. Sunrise over water possibly. Both Skia designs were created with a water/wave/blue theme in mind.

    • Logo4 - Base12
      Font: Base 12 Serif (rather non-standard serif font, less refined/stuffy)
      Symbol: Here the "i" becomes part of the symbol, as it is surrounded by a starburst. Interpretation: light, idea, beacon, epiphany, revelation
      This is set in 2 different typesets - one with all uppercase "Discovery" and one with lower case (both use lower case "i").
